Lord, You gave us the world, let us look after it, You gave us animals, let us look after them,

You gave us family and friends, let us love them, You gave us love, let us share it,

You gave us faith, let us express it, You gave us trust, let us use it,

You gave us joy and happiness, let us be overcome by it, You gave us life, let us enjoy it,

BUT most of all, you gave us peace, let us embrace it. Amen.

WHERE DID I COME FROM?  ‘Where did I come from?’ the young son asked his father, while in the course of writing an essay.  ‘Santa Claus brought you,’ says the father, who did not believe that all questions really have to be answered.  ‘And where did you come from?’  ‘Oh, the stork brought me,’ was his father’s answer.  ‘And Grandad, where did he come from?’ The father held his ground firmly and replied, ‘He was found under a head of cabbage.’  The young lad returned to his writing and after a while he closed the copy and went to his bed.  The father was puzzled by the suddenness and persistence of the questions, so he checked the boy’s copy, where he read, ‘After persistent questioning, it is my firm conclusion that there has not been a normal birth in this family for three generations’. – Author unknown.

OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF GOD'S KIDS

A woman invited some people to dinner. At the table, she turned to her six-year-old daughter and said, "Would you like to say the blessing?"

"I wouldn't know what to say," the little girl replied.

"Just say what you hear Mommy say," the mother said.

The little girl bowed her head and said: "Dear Lord, why on earth did I invite all these people to dinner?" byCharles Laine Franklin

A priest was speaking to a group of Year 3 children about the resurrection of Jesus when one student asked, "What did Jesus say right after He came out of the grave?"

The priest explained that the Gospels do not tell us what He said.

The hand of one little girl shot up. "I know what He said: He said, 'Tah-dah!'"
